Trees & plants

A significant element of Imaginature has been its transformation from a barren, weedy site to a fun play space rich in indigenous plant species. Since 2015, Imaginature has been planted out with a variety of trees, shrubs and grasses by:

  • parents and teachers at all-school busy bees
  • the gardening committee
  • students at National Tree Planting days.

Some of the trees have been “rescued” from tree farm chipper/mulchers and donated to the school.

To date, we have planted 54 trees and hundreds of shrubs and ground covers in Imaginature. However, we are always looking for more spots to plant a tree in!
