All school busy bees

2020 Busy Bee

The gardening committee organises an annual all-school busy bee, as well as gardening committee busy bees as needed. The 2020all-school busy bee will be held on Sunday 18 October 2020. Please come along and lend a hand as it is a great opportunity to connect with other families at the school.

The following photos come from the 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 all-school busy bees.

As you can see from these photos, in addition to works in Imaginature, the vegie garden, the KPC and the Inspire zone, the gardening committee and busy bee parents,  staff and students have, over the years:

  • planted the junior school succulent garden
  • painted the junior school undercover area
  • planted a native garden at the entrance to the school
  • painted fences and walls
  • constructed, painted and stained benches
  • created pallet gardens – two being used by the year 3 students to grow herbs, vegies and flowers, and two planted out with succulents
  • replaced the two pine trees next to the office with deciduous shade trees (crepe myrtles)
  • made over the fairy garden, including with a new chess set
  • broken rocks, mulched, weeded and even power cleaned the students’ toilets!
