In 2018, as one of the final projects in Imaginature, the gardening committee laid gravel and sawdust paths. Although designed to be functional – allowing improved pedestrian and maintenance vehicle access and to reduce soil erosion – the red gravel was chosen for its rich, red and very West Australian colour, as well as its interesting texture.
The sawdust paths were designed as a softer form of path through the space and to tie various elements of the playground together.
And again – where would we be without Novak, Hamish and their machines?
