In 2018, the gardening committee replaced the old, leaky and rather sad frog pond with a larger, deeper pond, and paved the edges with flat river rocks. The resident frog has since been joined by many tadpoles in their much happier home.
Salvaged materials used:
- the second hand pond was purchased from Gumtree
- the river rocks were obtained for free from Gumtree
- the pond was planted out with the original pond plants and cuttings from gardening committee members’ own ponds.
