In 2017, the gardening committee constructed the amphitheatre from second hand railway sleepers donated by a local business. The two tiers of the amphitheatre were created by digging trenches over 1 metre deep – a bit like digging your own grave – and then the sleepers all had to be perfectly aligned…
The amphitheatre was completed in 2018 when compacted gravel was laid by the gardening committee.
